Ingredient: Punsch
Also Known As: Arrack Punch, Caloric Punch, Punch or Punsch What it is: LiqueurPunsch is a traditional liqueur in Sweden and to a lesser extent some other Nordic countries produced from arrack, neutral spirits, sugar, water, and various flavorings. Arrack, originally a strong Indian liquor, was imported from Java (Indonesia) and became the base ingredient for making punsch. Although they both refer to certain kinds of mixed beverages with liquor as a base ingredient, traditional Swedish Punsch is different from Punch.
Ingredient: cherry cordial
Also Known As: cherry liqueur What it is: LiqueurA cordial is any invigorating and stimulating preparation. The term derives from obsolete medicinal usage, as various beverages were concocted which were believed to be beneficial to one's health, especially for the heart (cordialis in Latin).
Ingredient: lime
What it is: FruitA number of different fruits (generally citruses), both species and hybrids, which have their origin in the Himalayan region of India, and which are typically round, green to yellow in color, 3–6 cm in diameter, generally containing sour and acidic pulp.
Shake well in a mixing glass with cracked ice, strain and serve in a Sherry glass.
