1 drink rum

Ingredient: rum

What it is:  Rum
Distilled beverage made from sugarcane by-products such as molasses and sugarcane juice and then usually aged in oak and other barrels. The majority of the world's rum production occurs in and around the Caribbean and in several South American countries, such as Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana and Brazil. Light rums are commonly used in cocktails, whereas golden and dark rums are also appropriate for drinking straight, or for cooking.

What it is:  Fruit

A number of different fruits (generally citruses), both species and hybrids, which have their origin in the Himalayan region of India, and which are typically round, green to yellow in color, 3–6 cm in diameter, generally containing sour and acidic pulp.

Ingredient: gum syrup

Also Known As:  Gomme syrup What it is:  Syrup

An ingredient commonly used in mixed drinks. Like bar syrups, it is a sugar and water mixture, but has an added ingredient of gum arabic which acts as an emulsifier.

Substitution:  simple syrup
